The OECD PISA Report

Around 690,000 students took the “Programme for International Student Assessment” (PISA) assessment in 2022, representing about 29 million 15-year-olds from schools in 81 participating countries and economies (including Australia).

In late 2023 they released the conclusions and recommedations:

Technology and remote education is radically transforming learning ¹
Australia should target individual students not schools ²
Social diversity helps disadvantaged students ³ ⁴
Productivity falls are a global issue, so is the teacher shortage ⁵ ⁶
It is not just a matter of spending more money but spending it better ⁷
Therefore, measurement is key ⁸ ⁹
