How It Works?

Teacher Flexibility
Teachers have complete flexibility in their offering. They enter the following into SEPI:
- Their experience
- Subjects they teach
- Type of student profiles in which they will specialise
- Methods, structure and sizes of their classes
- Lesson Enhancing Technology (LET) used LET is technology that enhances learning (e.g. eye tracking etc.) not zooms/teams

Subject Match
Users enter the subject they wish to match along with the student’s profile which includes capabilities, learning style and any specific education needs.

Timetable Preferences
Teachers enter options for class lesson times by availability and preference. The user enters class times the student cannot do.

Users search for teachers
Users search SEPI for teachers that match a student’s specialist needs and timetable requirements.

Search by teacher attributes
Users can also search for teachers by their past results, teaching methods, and LET used. It is facilitated by our proprietary "Student Outcomes Measurement System" (SOMS).

Prioritise teacher choices
A list then appears, and users enter preferences for teachers from the list in order of priority. Teachers see all users’ preferences for their classes and the level of their priority.

Timetable matching
Sagecool’s proprietary Timetable Algorithmic Matching System (TAMS) proposes options which teachers and users can adjust in an iterative manner.

Classes filled
Teachers’ classes get filled with students from various schools (and/or other users) who match their specialty and criteria. Students get teachers most suited to their specific needs.
